1HD 1HZ Oil Pickup Gasket for LandCruiser Engine Work

If you are pulling the sump on a 1HD or 1HZ engine, a fresh 1HD 1HZ oil pickup gasket is not optional. This is the flange gasket that seals the oil strainer to the block. It is a single use item and reusing the original is how you end up with an oil leak or worse, an air leak into the pickup that starves the engine of pressure. It costs next to nothing to replace and the consequences of skipping it are not worth entertaining.

When You Need This Gasket

• Sump removal for any reason including oil leaks, bottom end work, or pump replacement
• Engine rebuild this should be in every rebuild kit regardless of whether the supplier included it
• Oil pickup cleaning or inspection any time the strainer comes out the gasket gets replaced
• Timing work on some applications sump removal is required for timing chain access
