Our reconditioned exchange engines for Toyota 2L, 3L, and 5L series are meticulously rebuilt to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Each engine is assembled in our climate-controlled facility, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Reconditioned Exchange Engine Exchange Policy:
These engines are sold on an exchange basis. Every order will incur a core holding charge of $750, applied at checkout, unless we are rebuilding your old engine. In that case, no additional fees apply. However, the following damages may affect the total price of the engine:
Non-Serviceable Engine Symptoms:
Damage to crankshafts (e.g., broken balancer keyways, spun big end or main bearings)
Damage to engine block (e.g., conrods through block, damaged bores requiring re-sleeving)
Missing major engine components
Must be exchanged ‘like for like’ with the same engine supplied (e.g., a 3L for a 3L)
Once we receive your exchange unit, the core charge will be refunded to you, unless the engine is not in a serviceable condition as outlined above.
Warranty:
We offer an unlimited kilometers / 12-month warranty on our reconditioned engines.
Reconditioned Exchange Engine Fuel System Requirements
At a minimum, we require the fuel system to be tested by a diesel injection workshop, with written evidence provided.
Due to the cost of testing and the age of these vehicles, we recommend replacing your fuel injectors and fuel pump with reconditioned units, as this is vital for the longevity and performance of your diesel engine.
These items are available on our website. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions about our fueling options.
Both new fuel pumps or original fuel pumps (after being checked) must be installed and timed correctly to specification, using a dial gauge and fuel pump plunger tool. The results must be recorded on the engine warranty card provided with the engine.
Coolant System Requirements:
The coolant system must be in proper working order:
A new water pump, radiator cap, and thermostat must be fitted.
If re-using your original radiator, it must be checked for internal flow and external airflow blockages and be free from any leaks.
All heater and radiator hoses must be free from leaks, cracks, and perishing materials.
Turbo Setup with Reconditioned Exchange Engines
We are extremely confident in our engines and the components we use in them and are happy to offer the same warranty as above.
We require the vehicle to be dyno-tuned after the engine has been fitted, and for the dyno results to be sent to us with the following readouts present: manifold pressure (boost), horsepower, torque, and air/fuel ratio.
Warranty Card:
Upon receiving your new engine, you will also receive a warranty card. It is vital that this is filled out during your build and engine installation and sent back to us via email or physically when returning your old engine core in order for your warranty to be valid.
Reconditioned Exchange Engine Freight & Delivery
We are more than happy to freight engines Australia-wide.
We can organize return freight on all of our engines going out, and also all core engines being returned.
Engine freight is a complex item and is unable to be added to the website. If you would like more information on freight, please call us or contact us HERE.
