The LN106 Harrop E Locker is an electronically selectable locking differential built for drivers who want instant traction without the complexity of compressors, air lines or pressure systems.

The Harrop E Locker uses electromagnetic locking technology to deliver true on demand four wheel drive performance at the flick of a switch. When disengaged, it behaves as a standard open differential for smooth steering and everyday road use. When engaged, it locks fully and sends equal torque to both wheels for maximum traction, regardless of terrain or wheel slip.

How the LN106 Harrop E Locker Works

When unlocked, the Harrop E Locker operates as an open differential. This allows the left and right wheels to rotate at different speeds, which is essential for normal driving and cornering.

When engaged via an in dash switch, the internal electromagnet activates locking pins inside the differential. This locks the side gear to the differential housing, forcing both axle shafts to rotate together.

Engagement Safety and Usage

The E Locker can technically be activated while moving, however Harrop recommend engaging at speeds below 5 kilometre per hour with a wheel speed difference under 50 RPM.
