The PDI Landcruiser60 series HJ61 HJ60 front mount intercooler is compatible with both the round headlight and twin square light models. It is installed further back than other kits and custom setups we’ve encountered, thanks to its recessed areas in the end tanks designed for condenser fittings and piping, which allows it to work seamlessly with the air conditioning system.
The intercooler core dimensions are 545 x300 x65mm.
The piping is made from stainless steel and comes with a stainless flange for the intake manifold (for the12HT engine). This flange features a 180-degree bend, directing airflow downwards beneath the air supply pipe (leading to the turbo). On the turbo side, a custom stainless pipe is provided to navigate around components and connects to the turbo outlet using a straight silicone joiner.

We have been selling a few of these cores and customers are very happy with the fitment and the improved responsiveness they are getting from the cooler air. On the 12HT these are best run in conjunction with a turbo boosting around 18psi, which is enough to use all the fuel the standard injection pump can deliver.
